Research On Design Of Additional Elevators In Existing Multi-storey Residential Buildings

Nowadays,the aged enjoying their later years in their own home is the main model for the old people to enjoy their later life under the background of the aging population in our country.At present,the majority of the old people in Xuzhou City live in the multi-storey houses that were constructed in different time.However,due to the technical and economical constraints of the initial period of the construction,most of the multi-storey houses were not equipped with elevators,which makes the residential old people hard to go up and down the stairs.Therefore,it is a realistic subject to install elevators to the existing multi-storey housing,and perfect the application function,which could make the old people convenient go up and down the stairs.Taking the existing multi-storey housing in Xuzhou City as the research subject,the paper first makes the field study on the relative typical representative multi-storey housing that exists in Xuzhou City to summarize the existing multi-storey residential type,features,the existing problems,the characteristics of the living residents as well as their demand,etc.Then through the field study of the example concerning the multi-storey residential elevator project in our country,the paper summaries the installation mode from various aspects,analyzes its advantages as well as disadvantages,and the constraints of its implementation,at the same time,obtains relevant experience and enlightenment.On the basis of this,the paper analyzes the related management and technology of the existing multi-storey residential housing and makes a summary about it,and puts forward several elevator installation modes for the multi-storey residential housing of different types in Xuzhou City.Finally,the author discusses the design of installing elevator for the family building in Wenchang Campus of China Mining University,and applies the related strategies that has put forward to it,hoping it could provide some reference for installing elevator for the existing multi-storey housing in Xuzhou City in the future.
