Since the introduction of BIM technology in China,it has greatly promoted the informationization of China's construction industry.As a tool of transforming two-dimensional drawings into 3D models,BIM has triggered the second revolution of engineering design industry.It is based on a three-dimensional model that has been given complete property information and updated in real time to perform collision checking of pipeline equipment,sunshine and energy saving analysis,and visualized virtual construction,greatly reducing design costs while significantly improving design efficiency.At present,BIM technology has been widely used in the design of large construction projects,which is dominated by the application of sports venues,theatres,sponge cities and other municipal projects.With the development of the city,the highway passenger station as one of the urban transportation infrastructures undertakes functions such as transportation and organization of passenger flow and logistics,and vehicle operation organization and comprehensive service in the transportation process.With the concept of “smart city” and “smart transportation” proposed,the informationization requirements for the construction of highway passenger stations are getting higher and higher,the scale is getting bigger and bigger,and the projects are becoming more and more complex,which has continuously raised the technical standards,construction difficulties and professional coordination requirements of the site system,that brought great challenges to the design of the highway passenger station.The introduction of BIM technology provides a dynamic and three-dimensional model for the intelligent and informatized management of highway passenger stations.Through the creation of a smart management platform,intelligent management and intelligent decision-making can be realized.This paper first summarizes the planning and design principles of highway passenger stations and the concepts and characteristics of BIM technology,analyzed the problems existing in the design of traditional highway passenger stations,and concluded the value of BIM technology in the design of highway passenger stations.Secondly,by comparing the functions and features of the Autodesk series software,the Bentley series software and the Dassult series software,and combining the actual needs of the design of the highway passenger station,the selection principle of the BIM modeling software for the road passenger station engineering was proposed.Secondly,it analyzes the planning and design cases of the Huzhu bus terminal,summarizes the BIM technology in the site condition modeling and base analysis,the design of the highway passenger terminal model,the cost estimate,the green building analysis and the energy consumption analysis,and the regional landscape visibility.And skyline analysis,traffic flow simulation and other applications.Finally,taking the Huzhu County Road Passenger Station as an example,the modelling criteria were defined,the file naming rules of the model awere determined,the level of details(LOD)of the model was divided,the model files awere set up,and the basic family bank of the highway passenger terminal was established.Then the collaborative design between the various professions was carried out,and collision checking was performed.Eventually,an optimized model of the highway passenger station was obtained.In summary,this paper first used the ContextCapture software in the Bentley series software to perform real-time modeling of the proposed site,and combined the Autodesk Revit software to perform BIM modeling of the road passenger stationand collision detection of equipment pipeline.Through the introduction and research of BIM technology in the engineering design of highway passenger stations,it provides theoretical support for the application of BIM technology in the design of transportation infrastructure,and further promotes the deep application of BIM technology in China.
