Along with our country's total mileage increased year by year,and gradually tilted to the southwest mountainous area and other areas,the construction and safety guarantee of expressway in mountain area has become the focus of industry research.Under complex topographic and geological conditions of mountainous highway route restrictions,it is easy to form a sharp,long and steep slope,tunnel connecting and dangerous road,and in the area of climate variability,easily formed accident balckspots.Due to the formation of accident prone section is the result of many factors,the engineering measures are difficult to solve the problem.Traffic signs,as the main way to transmit the information of driving support,can play a corresponding safety correction function to the traffic environment of a specific section.Therefore,it is of great engineering application value to identify mountainous expressway accident prone areas and set traffic signs accurately,which will effectively improve the safety level of high-speed driving in mountainous areas.Firstly,this paper analyzes the causes of road traffic accidents from the aspects of drivers,vehicles,roads and environment in mountainous highways,and discusses the corresponding driving safety characteristics of mountain highways.Secondly,combine with the accident data of a mountainous expressway,the paper studies the distribution characteristics of expressway accidents in mountainous area from the time distribution,spatial distribution,and the severity of accidents.On the basis of mastering the influencing factors of expressway safety in mountainous area,and comparing the current identification method of accident prone sections,a new identification method for mountainous expressway accidents is proposed based on the risk degree of roads from the perspective of multiple attributes of accidents.Further analyzing the road traffic environment in mountainous expressway accidents prone sections,it is found that the establishment of traffic signs has a great impact on the road safety.On the basis of the analysis of the action process of traffic sign information and its influence on driving behavior,from the angle of link travel costs,considering the influence of traffic signs on road safety cost and time respectively,establish traffic signs effectiveness evaluation model,and At the same time,the effective scope of traffic signs is put forward on the premise of reaching the corresponding safety level.Finally,the actual vehicle test data of a mountainous expressway in Southwest China is used to verify the feasibility of the method.The study on the effectiveness of traffic signs in the multi incidence section of highway accidents in mountain areas will help to further identify the distribution of accident prone sections,improve the rationality of traffic sign establishment,and have important engineering application value for improving the safety level of Expressway in mountainous area.
