With the continuous progress of social civilization,people have come to a cultural consensus of protection of historical buildings and formed a protection community.Li-fen building represented by Xian'an Fang is a famous culture brand of Wuhan,and has attracted more and more attention from the society.While due to the natural confrontation with modern city construction and the lack of protection,its living environment is becoming increasingly worse.However,the existing research on Li-fen building still remains at the level of qualitative analysis of the macroscopic characteristics of the building,lacking of a deeper level of micro-quantitative study.In order to improve the timely effectiveness of the protection work about Xian'anfang and start the process of quantitative analysis and research on Li-fen building,the research attempts to introduce HBIM,a cutting-edge technology in the digital protection trend of today's historic buildings,to solve the above problems and promote the digital protection process of Li-fen building and even historical buildings.Considering HBIM is still at an initial stage of exploration,this paper first uses documentation method to review the typical application of HBIM at home and abroad.On this basis,the basic concept of HBIM is further elaborated and clarified,and an innovative proposal of "component mapping" and "component family library construction" is creatively put forward to organize the various stages of digital protection of Li-fen building.Based on this,the HBIM application process for the sub-building was proposed.Afterwards,taking Xian'an Fang as the research object,paper emphatically discusses the implementation process of comprehensive surveying and mapping based on BIM and the principles and methods for the establishment of the component library.According to this,the family library and the BIM model of Xian'an Fang are initially established.Finally,starting from the whole life cycle protection of historical buildings,the later management and application methods of the HBIM achievements of Xian'an Fang are analyzed and studied,and the feasible applications at three progressive levels are put forward.The main achievements of this study include the HBIM application process and the component family library of Xian'an Fang,which can be directly used as the reference of the implementation process and the technology route guidance for the current digital protection of Li-fen building,and lay a detailed information foundation for the microquantitative research on Xian'an Fang.
