At present,urbanization is developing rapidly in our country.Many historical towns are facing the transformation of urbanization inevitably.This change often subverts tradition with a bold new look,or "reproduce" the tradition in an antique fashion.Because of these constructive destruction,many of our country beautiful historic towns in our country have been damaged or even destroyed.All of these practices are disrespectful to the tradition and require resolute endeavor.Hubei Province is also undergoing such changes.There have also emerged various types of simple and crude treatment of historical buildings and their settlements.The reasons are nothing but political achievements,driven by interests,lack of research,lack of professionalism,and lack of legal awareness.The author's hometown,Fang County,is an ancient town with a long history and profound culture.Nowadays,it is difficult to find a place where have significant historical features in the city.Even valuable buildings are rare.It is embarrassing.The ancient town Jundian in the western suburbs of Fang County is a traditional town full of mysteries.For lack of research,its mysterious veil has not been opened yet.However,under the background of the social development of urban renewal,Jundian Ancient Town has been included into the category of key development of the government of Fang County,and the so-called repairs and updates have already begun.Judging from the situation of part of the Xiadianzi street that have already been implemented,although some commercial shops have been restored and rehabilitated,but it does not seem to really understand the history of Jundian Ancient Town,so these constructions are somewhat incorrect.The author believes that the study of Jundian Ancient Town must be carried out immediately.Only by thoroughly exploring the origin and development of Jundian Ancient Town can we define the development characteristics and development direction of Jundian Ancient Town.Under this background,the author started the study of Jundian Ancient Town from the historical perspective.This article is cut from the perspective of history,searching for clues from vast historical documents,summarize the information from the analysis of the characteristics of topography and landforms and the analysis of historical sites.Gradually clarified the military causes of Jundian Ancient Town.Through the deduction method,we infer the development of Jundian Ancient Town that gradually evolved from a military defense to a commercial residence.Finally,it analyzes the texture and architectural features of the existing street space in the Junmapu village and Xiadianzi village.Summarize the characteristics of the settlement style of Jundian Ancient Town,provide a basis for the protection and tourism development of Jundian Ancient Town.
