Research On The Spatial Morphology Of The Industrial Remains Of The Third Front Construction In The Northwest Of Hubei Province

The industrial remains of the Third Front Construction is a very typical type of buildings in the beginning of our socialist construction.As a combination of atypical industrial complex and atypical Danweri Dayuan(unit compound),its spatial form reflects the ideologyof urbanplanning and architecture design in China's readiness period,the concrete material environment of the Danweri Dayuan(unit compound),the practical strategy of the industrialization of architecture in China's early times.Whether to arrange the style of China's early industrial architecture,or to study the characteristics of China's early dwelling model,or the practice of modernist architecture in the period of China's planned economy,the industrial remains of the Third Front Construction has a comparatively higher value in the research.Based on the arrangement of historical background and the case investigation,this thesis focus on the industrial remains of the Third Font Construction in the northwest of Hubei province.It analyzes the morphological characteristics of the remains with the analytical method of urban morphology and structure in two levels: in the settlement level,the remains are studied by four dimensions(site,tissue,block,plot);in the building level,the remains are studied by another four dimensions(building,space,structure,material).Finally,on the basis of summarization of the morphological features,this thesis explores the influential factors behind these characteristics,and makes the following conclusions: The cities that are involved of the Third Front Construction are still affected by it and these influences will continue in the future;The characteristics of the layout of the remains of the Third Front Construction still have an important inspiration and reference on the ideology of modern urban planning;the buildings in the remains reflects the practical process of the industrialization of architecture in China's early times,and the architecture features shows the complexity presented by the China's early modernism in the context of the collectivism and revolutionary trends.
