As an important part of clean energy,nuclear is one of the inevitable choices for optimizing energy structure in China.In operation,nuclear power plants generate a large amount of radioactive waste that is difficult to be treated.As China's nuclear power plants increase,the cumulative amount of radioactive waste will inevitably increase.The demand for efficient disposal of radioactive waste is increasing.By far,treating radioactive waste is a difficult problem in radioactive waste management.At present in China's nuclear power stations,the radioactive waste are disposed by temporary storage or cement solidification.So there is an urgent need for noticeable volume and mass reduction technology which is safe and effective.The wet waste is treated with cement solidification and dry waste is treated with pre-compaction at the Unit One and Two of TNPP.The annual volume of waste package is far more than the waste minimization management target.To achieve the waste minimization,optimized management,source items reduction and recycle are adopted to TNPP.At the same time,the radioactive waste treatment center(T4UKT)is constructed.Advanced volume reduction process is used in T4 UKT.T4UKT adopts the hot super compaction process to treat the spent resin.The still residue and hydro-cyclone sludge is treated with evaporation drying and compaction process.The dry waste is treated with super compaction and grouting.In addition,degradable product is used to instead of part of radiation protection product.As a result,the volume of compactable dry waste is one-third of original volume.After the treatment of T4 UKT,the final volume of waste package is reduced greatly,which can meet the requirement of waste minimization.The radioactive waste treatment center are shared by the whole plant in multiple nuclear power plant sites,and a variety of radioactive waste treatment systems are used to treat the radioactive waste generated by multiple machines in the whole plant.This can not only optimize the functional design but also reduce the repeated design and construction of the same system in nuclear power plants.This paper studies the nuclear power plant's radioactive waste process and the design program of radioactive waste treatment facilities.Analyze the characteristics of the radioactive waste treatment center system and arrangement design.Discusses the optimal waste treatment process scheme of the radioactive waste treatment center.Explore the optimal waste treatment process plan for the tianwan radioactive waste treatment center.Study the design plan and arrangement design of the radioactive waste treatment center shared by the whole plant.
