The problem of radioactive wastewater produced in the process of nuclear facilities, retirement, scientific research and production operation,reducing the fixed investment of enterprises and being used for nuclear emergency response are all can be solved by the research of miniaturization type of radioactive wastewater treatment device, which,as a development platform, can test to get the parameters of intercepting efficiency, stability and security of the device and provide basis and guidance for further optimize of the device performance. Because of the large number of the experimental devices, different shapes and dispersed distribution, after intercepting or remaining the radionuclide, each purification equipment and related vessel will become the source terms.Also, there will be certain differences in the dose levels of space around the experimental apparatus and the debugging and switches to devices in the process of experiment. In the meantime, for the observation of the experimental equipments, it just can be semi-open operation rather than a totally closed shielding pattern. Thus it needs detailed analysis about theradiation dose levels of operating environment, and according to the results and field operations a design of specific radiation protection will be undertaken to ensure the safety of staff and the public. For there exists vast of uncertain factors in the heavy workload traditional computing method, as the continuous development of the computer technology,numerical simulation technique has been widely used in engineering research field, for which a numerical model of experimental site can be established when designing the radiation protection, meanwhile motion of particles in space can be simulated to get accurate spatial dose distribution and at last, to help for the design of radiation protection. After collection of related parameters about experimental site and the source term, this design utilizes the method of Monte Carlo numerical simulation and large particle transport program to establish the experimental model,which simulates to get the dose distribution data of the space around the experimental apparatus and uses MATLAB to make a dose distribution map. Then combining with the actual situation of the place it finds out the location of the boundary of different dose levels from the consequences of operations according to the dose distribution in the map. Under the guidance of the related laws and regulations and standards and the insistence in the three principles of legitimacy, optimization and dose limits advocated by ICRP, it reaches the purpose of radiation protection design from the perspectives of the division of work area and limitedoperation time combining with the dose simulation results, environment of experimental apparatus and concrete operation, and provides the guidance basis for the radiation protection work of the following experiment.
