Nowadays,our national economic development is transforming from traditional extensive high-speed growth into sustainable rapid growth of low cost and high efficiency.As an important mainstay of the national economy,the construction industry has maintained steady momentum of growth in size and speed,but there is also some problems,like the low production efficiency,huge resource waste and extensive management technology etc,the traditional production and management mode is not adapt to the requirements of sustainable development any more,we urgently need new technologies and methods to promote the quality of construction project.With the development of the big data,cloud computing,Internet of things,and BIM technology,in the way of the exploration and application of information construction as well as the construction site management of construction enterprises,it is gradually shifting from the traditional manual management to information management.In consideration of the problems existing in the traditional quality control of construction project,one practical project in Tianshui City is selected as the objective for practical research in the paper to explore the feasibility of BIM technology applied in the quality control of the construction project and discuss how to improve the quality control level by using BIM technology.And the main conclusions are drawn as follows:(1)Starting from the concept and main content of the theory of quality control in the traditional construction project,the problems existing in the process of quality control are summarized,including stagnant quality,poor management effect,non-intuitive quality inspection and difficulties in information sharing.The BIM technology is introduced in the construction project quality control process and the main factors affecting the quality control are analyzed.For example,it has changed the working pattern for the traditional construction management personnel,reduced the waste of materials,optimized the environment of the construction site,ensured the normal operation of the equipment and used the simulation technology in the demonstration of construction method,to compare the advantages of BIM technology in quality control.(2)To introduce BIM technology in the quality control system of the construction project,the organization mode,staff responsibility and business processes are rearranged,and the construction project quality control system based on BIM technology is established.And the whole process of construction project quality control including in advance,in the matter and afterwards is covered by BIM technology.(3)BIM technology is adopted in the quality control of the one construction project in Tianshui,and the empirical study is conducted in the drawings verification and collision check beforehand,the 3D site layout,visualization technology explanation and cloud + end mobile quality control in the matter as well as the analysis and collaboration of the construction project quality information afterwards.The achievements made in the construction project quality control by BIM technology are summed up and its values are analyzed.In the practical engineering,BIM technology plays a role in reducing wastes and improving the quality control level and efficiency during the engineering construction.
