Reutilization Of Gu Langyu's Historical Buildings Into The Family Hotel Based On The Perspective Of Authenticity

Authenticity has always been the hot topic in heritage conservation and development from the West to the East,as well as in ancient and contemporary times.The concept of authenticity has also reflected the progress of the protection of architectural heritage in the process of continuous deepening and expansion,reflecting the concern of people in the development of heritage tourism in the era of experience economy.From the perspective of authenticity,this study explored the practical problems and solutions in the process of reusing Gulangyu historic landscape architecture.On the basis of studying the original information source factors of Gulangyu historic landscape architecture,the evaluation system was adopted to evaluate the re-use completion effect.Afterward,the thesis summarized a series of problems in the reuse of historical buildings in Gulangyu and put forward corresponding strategies to provide a certain direction for the future development of Gulangyu.In addition,the strategies the thesis proposed can contribute the development of Gulangyu Family Hotel that is in trouble currently.Specifically,Chapter 2 sorts out the theory of authenticity in the field of heritage protection and the original practice in heritage development,in order to lay a solid theoretical foundation for subsequent research.Chapter 3 summarizes the original information source factor of Gulangyu historic landscape architecture through the analysis of the modern development history of Gulangyu,literature materials and field visits.The factors include the formal style associated with the construction of the building,decorative arts,local materials,and Placement-related multiculturalism.Based on the Chapter 3,the Chapter 4 introduced the evaluation system of reuse performance,and evaluated the effectiveness of the evaluation index system by evaluating the reuse of the three family hotels(Zhongdeji,Xujiayuan,and Beiyu)that represented different historical landscape levels through 6 criteria and 23 evaluation indicators covering 65 evaluation factors.This part fills the gap in related research of Gulangyu.In addition,through the investigation of all historical buildings that have been re-used as the family hotel,we have summarized the gains and losses of authenticity in the process of the transformation under the framework of the evaluation system.In Chapter 5,the corresponding strategies were proposed for evaluation results and practical problems(Chapter 4).Which is include the "matrix"as the core of the macro-guidance strategy,the government and the private implementation of the operational strategy,as well as the architecture ontology strategy that makes full use of the authenticity information source factor.Finally,through the application of relevant strategies in the design of renovation and reuse of No.99 villa on Lujiao Road in Gulangyu Island,the combination of theory and practice is realized.
