Research On Renewal And Transformation Of The Outer Space Of Traditional Villages In West Beijing

The traditional villages in the west of Beijing are a kind of typical ancient post-station villages in the mountains.It provides a lot of data for studying the Settlement development in Beijing and northern area.However,as a result of a series of problems,such as backwardness of living facilities,destruction of traditional features and even the abandonment of the village,the traditional villages are urgent to renewal and transformation measures to improve the quality of villagers' life and to inherit historical and cultural characteristics.Except “inner space”,such as buildings and courtyards,the special form of traditional villages also includes “outer space”,such as streets and squares.At present,the focus of renewal and transformation of traditional villages is mostly concentrated on the internal space of buildings and courtyards,and there is relatively little research on the outer space of traditional villages.Therefore,this paper selects the outer space which is closely related to the villagers' life but is gradually declining due to a series of historical and human factors as the research object.Then,a series of adaptive renewal and transformation measures are put forward to further activate traditional villages.The first chapter of this paper includes the background,scope,definition of the research on the renewal and transformation of the inner space of the traditional village in the west of Beijing and the relevant theoretical researches from domestic and foreign,as well as the source,significance and methods of the thesis.At last,the research framework of the paper is combed on this basis.The second chapter is the analysis of the current situation of the traditional villages in the west of Beijing.First,the paper puts forward the problems faced by the outer space from the whole level of the village.Secondly,it classifies and summarizes the existing problems in every external space,and provides a basis for the following chapters to propose universal solutions.Finally,the feasibilities of the renewal and transformation to outer space are demonstrated.The third chapter classifies the types of traditional villages in western Beijing,and summarizes the characteristics of each type of space.The fourth chapter puts forward the corresponding renewal and transformation measures according to the different types of traditional villages in western Beijing.On the one hand,these measures are the induction and summary of the practice and method of the renewal and transformation of the outer space of the traditional villages in the west of Beijing,and on the other hand,the methods and measures for the renewal and transformation for the outer space of the traditional villages in other areas are widely used for reference.This method provides a multi choice and multi perspective method for the renewal and transformation of the traditional villages in the west of Beijing.The fifth chapter takes the renewal and transformation of the outer spaces which include ancient trade road,stone roller and square in Fangshan Shuiyu village as an example.Through the comprehensive consideration of its historical culture,space characteristics,and the needs of the villagers,the corresponding renewal and transformation measures proposed in the fourth chapters are adopted to realize the activation and regeneration of the outer space of the village of the Shuiyu village whose ultimate goal is to provide a practical case reference for the renewal and transformation of the traditional villages in the west of Beijing.Through the discussion of the renewal and transformation for the traditional villages' outer space in the west of Beijing,this paper hopes to inject new vitality into the outer space of the village,so that it can not only become the place of daily communication of the villagers,improve the quality of the living space of the villagers,but also protect and inherit the cultural connotation of the village.At the same time,the author also hopes that this article will be an important supplement to the current village Revival Strategy,allowing the declining countryside to gain the power of redevelopment and make the countryside a livable place where life is guaranteed,economic development is supported and the ecological environment is sustainable.
