| Since ancient times,human life has been closely related to birds.Ancient Chinese ancestors believed that birds were the incarnation and carrier of the sun.They were the ambassadors of light and warmth.Thus birds were loved by various nationalities and manifested in various forms in the cultures of various nationalities.The bird totem culture has universality and particularity.Its universality is reflected in the fact that birds can build strong correlations among consumers of different cultural backgrounds and are easier to understand and accept;and its particularity is reflected in the fact that bird cultures in different regions are not identical and are geographically unique typical representative.The mysterious and romantic bird totem worship is particularly evident in the traditional culture of the ancient Yue ethnic group.Nowadays,as a descendant of the ancient Yue ethnic group,the Kam minority people continue to practice the custom of cultivating birds.In the family’s costume brocade,Drum-tower,Wooden Bridges,the Dong chorus,and festival activities,the bird’s customs can be seen everywhere,becoming the imprint of the Kam culture inherited.This article takes this as an entry point and turns the bird into a symbol and bridge of international cultural exchange through the presentation of the product,thus become the connection between the local market and the international market.However,with the rapid progress of digitalization and industrialization in modern society,in the face of the advantages of modern mechanized products such as mass production and large-scale production,the cultural and creative product market containing traditional geographical and cultural heritage has been squeezed.At the same time,the existing regional cultural product design is mostly a simple imitation of traditional artifacts or a copying application of ornamentation.It fails to integrate the local wisdom of local residents and often ignores the deep connotation of culture and lacks sense of experience and interaction.Therefore,the possibility of protection,inheritance,and re-creation based on the Totem Bird’s Totem culture has become the focus of this article.Through the study and practice of the locality of the channel of the Dong nationality in Hunan province,this article analyzes the current situation of domestic and foreign regional cultural product design,tries to put forward the protection and dissemination of the Totem bird culture,future-oriented product design solution ideas and innovative methods.This article mainly uses the digital technology including: parametric design technology,intelligent hardware technology,3D printing technology.Among them,parameterization technology has the characteristics of irregularity,dynamics and autonomy,which can greatly enrich the product modeling language and bring unlimited creativity.While applying parametric techniques,the use of regional cultural characteristics as a parametric variable to constrain design styling,without losing its cultural value,will become a commonly used digital product design method in the future.Intelligent hardware technology integrates media technology,information technology,and Internet technology in the form of artistic expression.It can effectively increase the diversity and interactivity of products,and can also take into account the aesthetic needs of products and the deep cultural implications of products in design.3D printing technology has the advantage of rapid prototyping and the production of complex models.It is hoped that through the new technology,the Bird Totem Culture will be better disseminated and developed into people’s lives.At the same time,it will explore the digital product design approach based on the Totem Bird Totem culture and effectively support the implementation of its related creative product design. |
