Impacted by the economic globalization, the corporate culture is regarded as notonly a corporate management model but also an indispensable part of the corporatecompetitiveness. In order to keep and develop the corporate, it is necessary for theenterprise to improve itself systematically to be adaptable to the constant changesfrom the enterprise external environment and enterprise resources. Among theimprovements, the corporate culture improvement is of first and foremost priority.Transportation is the fundamental, leading and service business which supportsthe economic development and promotes the social progress. The goalof strengthening the traffic culture and enhancing the soft power of the industry hasbeen put on the daily work schedule of the Ministry of Transport.Hunan Longxiang group is the leading enterprise in the whole transportindustries in Hunan with the history of89years. The managers in this firm arethinking over such significant topics as how to inherit and develop the excellentculture gene, how to establish the culture constructive system with reality whichmeets the development of times and how to enhance the core competitive power torealize the sustainable development especially after Hunan Longxiang Group'sreformation in2006.This paper conducts a systematic research on a passenger transportationenterprise which is a reformed firm from the state-owned one by using the corporateculture theories and analyzing the research report, the full research on the enterprisestatus quo been conducted. Firstly, it reviews the literature and Hunan LongxiangGroups development course and corporate culture in every phase. And then byapplying the corporate culture theories, combined with some quantitative andqualitative analysis, the full research on the Hunan Longxiang group status quo hasbeen conducted to determine the direction of cultural improvement through datacollection, individual interview, group discuss and questionnaire, etc. On the basis ofthis direction, Hunan Longxiang Group's corporate culture ideal system is improvedfrom such three levels as strategy level, tactic level and executive level and the paperpresents the supporting safeguard measures.Based on the inheritance of excellent corporate culture-gene, the paper takes theHunan Longxiang group as the object researched and tries to reinvent and invent the cultural concept in order to refine strategic excellent culture and construct thecorporate cultural system suitable for the enterprise development, finally forming thecore competence for the sustainable development. Meanwhile, the author hopes thepaper be helpful to other similar passenger transportation enterprise cultureconstruction.
