Native products refer to specific outputs in a specific area,generally including local ly produced agricultural and forestry products,and special products with unique qu ality and local skills.Along with the rapid development of China's tourism industry,native products have been favored by consumers because of their distinctive local characteristics and ethnic customs,and have become an important part of tourism i ndustry consumption.Native product packaging refers to the package and decoratio n formed by the functions of protecting products,facilitating storage and facilitatin g sales during the circulation of native products.It is closely related to the local cult ure.At present,the local specialty packaging on the market is far better than the cul tural exploration,and the brand image is neglected,which leads to the similar desig n and lack of cultural connotation and artistic value.Therefore,it is necessary to co nduct research on the design of souvenir packaging.As the only river town in China and even in the world,Datong has a profound and unique regional culture.This design starts with understanding the regional culture a nd local products of Datong Ancient Town,studies the current situation of Datong f ood and souvenir packaging design and analyzes its shortcomings,and actively exp lores how to cultivate regional cultural resources.It is combined with the design of native products packaging to create a local product brand with the characteristics of Datong culture,forming a characteristic industrial advantage,promoting the local e conomy and spreading the regional culture of Datong Ancient Town.The packagin g design of native products in other parts of the country has certain reference signifi cance.
