Research On The Influence Of Public Toilet Culture On City Image From The Perspective Of Urban Communication Studies

With the rapid development of cities,the urban image as a city's "soft power" is more and more valued by the main body of the city.The distinctive urban image increases the attractiveness of the city and increases the competitiveness of the city.The image of a city is inseparable from the shaping of urban culture."Urban cultural capital" constructs the image of the city and promotes the development of the city.The process of building an urban image is a process of external communication and diffusion.How to build on the city culture and create a unique city image has become a problem faced by many cities.As an important place for the development of modern life in the city,urban public toilets are an essential part of the urban infrastructure.Both serve the main body of the city,and the main body experience affects people's perception,identification and communication of the city's image.As an exploratory study,based on the existing urban image communication research,this article attempts to view urban public toilets as a medium for disseminating urban image,interpreting the text of urban connotation and symbols containing urban culture from the perspective of urban communication,using urban culture The theory of the influence of capital on the image of the city explores the influence of Linfen public toilet culture on the image of Linfen city.Based on the existing literature,the characteristics of public toilet culture and city image are sorted out,combined with the predecessor city cultural capital measurement model and city image measurement model,a measurement model of the impact of Linfen public toilet culture on Linfen city image is established on the basis of empirical investigation.Through the questionnaire survey,the impact of the three dimensions of Linfen public toilet culture object form,spiritual form and institutional form on the environmental image,economic image and organizational image of Linfen City was discussed.Studies have shown that: Linfen public toilet culture has a significant positive impact on Linfen city's economic image;Linfen public toilet culture has a significant positive impact on Linfen city organization image;Linfen public toilet culture has a limited impact on Linfen city environmental image.On this basis,combined with in-depth interviews to further verify and explore the reasons for this research result and give countermeasures and suggestions for improvement,to provide the corresponding theoretical support for creating a cultural image of Linfen city,but also for different cities It can provide reference ideas for its own unique culture and urban connotation to shape a distinctive city image.
