A Study On The Design Of Linfen Public Toilet From The Perspective Of Urban Culture

In the long process of history,city,as a carrier of cultural development,is not only objective spatial expression and material existence,but also have special cultural attributes.Known as “The First Capital of Ancient China”,Linfen has a long history and rich traditional culture,which have formed unique urban culture through historical accumulation in the process of development.As urban public facilities and landscape facilities,Linfen public toilets not only transform and beautify the urban space,but also integrate the public art design into the public toilet design,closely combine with the urban cultural elements,and take the urban culture as the source of the public art creation,which arise people’ s understanding and thinking about the urban culture and public art.Through literature review,field research,case analysis and questionnaire survey and other method,this paper selects representative regional cases for comparative analysis from the perspective of space and regional dimension,and studies the design of public toilets in different countries and cities.Taking Linfen public toilets as the specific research and analysis object,this paper summarizes the urban culture and the overview of Linfen public toilets,and expounds the development background and current situation of the design of public toilets from the perspective of current Linfen culture.This paper focuses on the analysis of the design of public toilets in the South and North Gulou Streets.From the aspects of traditional culture,couplets,sculpture and public toilet design,it makes an overall analysis of the public toilets design in Linfen through theoretical exploration,deeply studies the results of the combination of urban culture and public toilet design and the problems in the process of integration and development,and proposes the countermeasures.
