In the new economic environment with increasingly intense competition,government owned enterprises break the single long term employment form but use mixed employment(long term and non-standard employment)to achieve strategic goal of maximizing profits and enhancing enterprise competency.Non-standard employment is a flexible hiring method.It eases pressure of employment and meanwhile brings flexible working patterns(flextime and flex place)to employees;however it has big impacts on satisfaction due to unfair compensation,decreasing job security,lack of sense of belonging and labor rights protection.This article is to diagnose satisfaction of non-standard employment in S Petroleum based on the contexts aforementioned.First it describes the overall employment status quo and analyzes motives of using non-standard employment.Second it identifies the existing problems of current non-standard employment model by sampling 2397 non-standard employees' surveys and 60 one-on-one interviews from 13 regional enterprises within Guangdong province.Last but not least,it proposes solutions based on identified problems.The diagnostic study concludes: S Petroleum sales enterprise has problems of unfair compensation,limited promotion opportunities,lack of sense of belonging,decreasing job security,and etc.The results of surveys and interviews reached similar conclusions.Last it proposes several recommendations to improve the status quo of non-standard employment.
