Research On Procurement Mode Of EPC Project For Overseas Cement Project Of Nanjing S Company

The rapid development of Chinese technology and manufacturing has promoted the rapid development of Chinese engineering to overseas.As a young member of the engineering company for cement industry,Nanjing S Company is in the face of the sharp rise in the domestic labor cost and the continuous high exchange rate of the RMB.In order to improve the competitiveness in the overseas market of cement EPC project,Nanjing S Company is actively seeking the most suitable procurement mode of EPC project,along with reducing the cost of overseas labor cooperation.Taking the developing S company as the subject investigated,this study firstly summarized the related situation of cement industry and overseas cement projects.On the basis of consulting a large number of relevant literatures,this study expounded the construction mode of the EPC project,defined the relevant contents of procurement management in the EPC project,and focused on the common procurement scope,procurement process and procurement mode of the overseas cement EPC project.Secondly,this study introduced the basic situation of Nanjing S Company and the procurement status of EPC projects for overseas cement projects.Furthermore,the procurement characteristics and main problems of S company's overseas EPC projects were summarized from procurement organization structure,process,mode and management software system of S company.Based on this,an efficient,standardized and perfect procurement mode is in an urgent need for the S company.Thirdly,combing the comprehensive analysis of characteristics with procurement status of S company,this study put forward a set of procurement mode suitable for S company from the aspects of cost,quality and time limit of EPC project management.Meanwhile,several suggestions were proposed especially for the cost control.This study drew the conclusion that construction of an efficient procurement mode of EPC projects for overseas cement projects should rely on the guidance of project management.Furthermore,a standardized and flexible procurement process,a clear procurement strategy,combined with a powerful procurement management platform and database will contribute to its construction too.The establishment of highly efficient procurement model and the optimization of procurement management will lay a solid foundation for S company to stand out and maintain its lasting competitiveness in the increasingly fierce competition of overseas market.
