Analyses On The Factors That Affect The Export Of China's Basic Chemical Products

After rapid development since the reform and opening up,China's petrochemical industry has penetrated into various fields of the national economy and has become a pillar industry of China's industry.However,China's petrochemical industry has low-level overcapacity,and the high-level dependence on imported structural overcapacity is serious.Especially China's basic chemical products are particularly prominent.Increasing the export of basic chemical products is one of the effective methods to solve structural overcapacity.Therefore,researching on the factors affecting basic chemicals exports has practical significance.There are many kinds of basic chemical products.In order not to affect the accuracy of research,we choose titanium dioxide as a case study.China's titanium dioxide industry is currently the world's largest production,export and consumption base,but China's exports are basically low-level products,high-level is still dependent on imports.Therefore,research on titanium dioxide is representative of the study case.In theory,combined classical trade theory,economies of scale and other theories and literature analysis,this paper is to find out the influencing factors and propose hypotheses.Through the use of titanium dioxide as a case,combined theoretical analysis and conclusions case analysis,the final impact variables are come up with.Based on the results of the theory and the case,the main import and export areas of titanium dioxide were sampled in the past 18 years,a total of 1296 samples.A regression model was established,and then multiple regression treatments were performed using Stata software,and finally the conclusion is as follow: there are four main influencing factors on basic chemical exports,the largest of which is the demand in the downstream consumption sector,followed by the price of the importing region,the output of the importing region and the other regions in the importing region,and finally the output of the exporting region.Based on this conclusion,this paper proposes a reasonable countermeasure for ensuring the steady growth of basic chemical exports.
