The marsh wetland in Haikou City is mainly distributed in the Yangshan area on the outskirts of the city, which has good hydrothermal conditions and lava Iandform formed by volcanic eruptions in the Quaternary has formed a rich vegetation, blurred borders, and relatively fragmented marsh wetlands, which are extremely characteristic but difficult to protect. At present, with the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Zone and the Free Trade Ports with Chinese Characteristics, the social and economic activities of Haikou City are becoming more and more frequent, and the marsh wetlands are still unclear due to their specific protection areas, facing many potential threats such as blind development and water pollution. Therefore,it is a top priority to clearly prioritize protected areas and carry out protection work.To this end, based on the system protection plan, this study is divided Haikou City as 863 planning units, and protected the potential suitable areas of the dominant plants in the marsh wetland of Haikou City as the protection object, and constructed a total of 11 protection targets in 5 categories, through the system protection planning software(C-Plan),calculate the key areas that have irreplaceable value for the protection of marsh wetlands in Haikou City, and comprehensively affect the impact of human activities, from the 2 aspects of protection effect and protection cost, select the optimal protection target, and further determine the priority protection zone. The main conclusions of this study include:(1)Prediction of potential suitable areas and analysis of major environmental impact factors:The results of the study on the potential habitats of 4 dominant plants in the marsh wetland of Haikou City show that the Ludwigia hyssopifolia(G.Don)Exell is mainly concentrated in the north part of central Haikou City;the Epilobium hirsutum L.is mainly concentrated in the central part of Haikou City;the Cyperus rotundus L.is mainly concentrated in Haikou, and the north and southwest regions of the central part of the city;the Ipomoea aquatica Forsk.is mainly concentrated in the north and southwest of central Haikou.Climate variables have a major impact on the distribution of 4 dominant plants, reflecting the significant impact of the spatial and temporal distribution of tropical cyclone disasters on vegetation growth in Haikou City. The relationship between potential suitable areas and hydrological variables is weak, indicating that the distance from to river is not the main influencing factor, which just confirms the magma erosion caused by the eruption of Qiongbei volcano in the Yangshan area of Haikou City, which leads to the infiltration of surface runoff.Which demonstrate the uniqueness of the marsh wetland in Haikou City.(2)Identification of priority protection areas:Among the 11 categories of protection targets in 5 categories, the graded protection target set according to wetland plant characteristics have higher protection efficiency.Based on this, the irreplaceability values of the planning units are calculated, taking into account the impacts of human activities and topographical factors, and finally Haikou City Marsh Wetland has identified 11 priority protected areas, which are generally located in the middle of Haikou City, with a total area of 15,679.88 hectares, accounting for 6.86%of Haikou City.Among them, the northeastern part of Longqiao Town-the south of Fucheng Town-the northwest of Longtang Town and the south of Yunlong Town?the west of Hongqi Town-the northeast of Jiuzhou Town, the 2 priority protection areas are 2,433.74 hectares and 3,464.44 hectares respectively. Finally, through the above research results, this study proposes a series of protection measures including the construction of new nature reserves or wetland parks, and the formulation of the "Regulations on the Management of Marsh Wetland Priority Protected Areas”,in order to provide reference for the protection and management of Haikou Marsh Wetland.
