| The wedding dresses in the late Qing Dynasty epitomized the shapes of traditional Chinese wedding dresses.The shapes and contents of the Manchu aristocratic wedding dresses represented the integration of the luxury of the eastern empire and the national dresses.In the late Qing Dynasty,the Manchu and Han cultures,including dresses,integrated unprecedentedly,the aristocratic wedding dresses and accessories were also extravagant unprecedentedly,which expressed the wedding dress beauty-appreciation in the Qing Dynasty perfectly.The studies on the Manchu aristocratic wedding dresses in the late Qing Dynasty are conducive to cultivate and innovate the design inspiration and ideas of the modern wedding dresses.This paper takes the style of Manchu aristocratic wedding dresses in the late Qing Dynasty as the study object and tries to reveal the context system of the Manchu aristocratic wedding dresses in the late Qing Dynasty and the shape of the aristocratic wedding dresses and confirms the features of the wedding dresses in the specific time through the methods of civil investigation,meticulous communication,and careful observation.First,this paper sorts out the historical evolvement process of the Manchu wedding dress shapes in the Qing Dynasty on the basis of the time series,takes the historical documents such as Old Manchu Alphabet File and Code of Great Qing Dynasty as the reference basis and analyzes and quotes the historical materials related to aristocratic wedding dress system of Manchu that are recorded in the reference basis and expounds the features of “Dress Etiquette”and “Auspicious Clothing” of the Manchu aristocratic wedding dress system in the late Qing Dynasty.Combined with historical records,this paper analyzes the basic forms of wedding dresses of aristocratic brides and grooms,and comprehensively analyzes the traditional culture of Manchu folk wedding customs and shaman religious culture,and expounds the humanistic characteristics and the time implication of the shapes of these wedding dresses.In the end,this paper expounds the impacts of Manchu wedding costumes on the modern dresses,draws conclusions from the studies and supplies the new ideas to the design of modern wedding dresses. |
