JM Group is a diversified coal enterprise group approved by the Beijing Municipal Government and merged by the Beijing Mining Bureau and the Coal Corporation.It is the only large-scale state-owned coal group in the city.At the end of 2014,JM Group merged and reorganized with JN Group,which belongs to the same city.With the successful listing of the HW company,which is mainly engaged in coal business,and the rise of the urban service industry and real estate development industry,JM Group has been transformed from a traditional coal production enterprise into a large-scale comprehensive enterprise group with multiple related aspects such as coal production,electricity,urban services,real estate development,civil explosion chemicals,and machinery manufacturing.Due to the profound changes in the economic situation in the latter part of the "12th Five-Year Plan" period,it was influenced by the fact that the country’s economic growth entered a slowdown zone,the painful period caused by structural adjustment,and the "three-phase superposition" of the stimulus policy digestion period.Coupled with the promulgation and formulation of the"Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Collaborative Development Outline" and the government’s industrial adjustment and structural policies of "on-site elimination,upgrading,and relocation",JM Group is facing severe overcapacity in the coal industry and low sales in the coal market.operating pressure;On the other hand,in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region,enterprises are increasingly constrained by policies,resources,and the environment,and the sustainable development of enterprises faces great pressure and challenges.However,solving non-capital functions and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy provide JM with opportunities and space for development.Combined with various factors,the JM Group must once again embark on a path of transformation.This article will use PEST analysis method to analyze the macro environment of the group,use Porter’s five-force analysis model to analyze the industry environment,etc..Based on this comprehensive analysis,SWOT is used to analyze the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities,and challenges of the group.To formulate strategic ideas and goals for the transformation of the group to promote the sustainable and healthy development of enterprises.
