H industrial packaging company is an integrated manufacturing and service company working on the iron and steel products on-site packaging as well as some related packaging materials producing and manufacturing.What’s more,this company has held a leading position in the field of iron and steel packaging in China.However,iron and steel industry has suddenly entered cold winter since the later year of 2013 which constrained the company to convert to the efficiency of on-site management.This is why the company has begun to advocate and carry out 6S management since the beginning of 2014 hoping to improve efficiency through on-site management and to raise the image of the industry as well as to improve service and increase market share at the same time.This paper introduces the concept of the on-site management,and then explain the concepts of 6S management.6S management is a theory and an effective method for on-site management of the temporary companies which plays an important role of improving the efficiency,making the working environment clean and orderly,preventing the dangerous factors and ensuring the security.The application of 6S management is closely related to the company’s on-site management,service quality,manufacturing and producing as well as economic targets.The paper describes the basic overview of the purpose and implementation of the H company’s 6S management,for enterprises to promote efficiency and development by improving the on-site and the quality of the staff.This paper introduces the present situation of the steel packaging industry and analyzes the various types of field which dose not conducive to the development of enterprises.H industrial packaging company designed ways to solve series of questions.This paper introduces the specific practices and effects of "SEIRI","SEITON","SEISO","SEIKETSU","SECURITY","SHITSUKE",which provides apractical basis for the same kind of companies.Consequently,studying the on-site management of H industrial packaging company,this paper is dedicated to summarize and abstract the advantages and disadvantages of 6S management and do research on the application of 6S management of the on-site management.The company has got positive outcomes with the application and promotion of 6S management for more than one year.For example,6S management making the workshops no longer disordered,enhancing the safety awareness of the staff,eliminating the potential risks,decreasing the rates of the productive accidents,making employees more initiative,increasing product yield,increasing quality,improving the employee satisfaction etc.At the same time by revealing 6S promote,including 6S+ process coordination,the dynamic management of 6S,the three years of implementation planning will improve the implementation of on-site management.This research can provide reference for other similar enterprises carrying out on-site management in order to enhance service quality,increasing efficiency,reducing cost and making the quality of products even better.
