The Application Of Han Embroidery Craft In Modern Women's Wear Design

With the development of the Chinese non-material heritage protection programs,Han embroidery was collected in the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage lists in 2008.The contemporary international costume stage needs to add traditional elements that can present the combination of vaious schools and techniques.This happens to meet the requirements of Chinese charming traditional culture which is ‘innovative development and creative transformation'.The author interviewed the inheritors of Han embroidery several times,visit and investigated Han embroidery Museums,Han embroidery workshops deeply.Combining the researches with the major,she designed modern women's clothing by adding Han embroidery elements.This subject of this paper is to study the modern transformation of traditional Han embroidery,and aims to provideing helpful reference value and design concept for its application in women's clothing.It would be an innovative content to solve the development of Han embroidery inheritance protection based on the current situation.The paper is divided into seven parts.First part explains the origin of this topic which analyzes the Han embroidery study background and the situation in China and abroad.This part establishs the research purpose and research significance.Corresponding to the relevant research of Han embroidery,the author chooses proper research methods and steps,and clarify its innovative points.In second part the author states the artistic outline of Han embroidery.It summarizes its artistic style,history and current development status.The third part illustrates Han embroidery's craft features.The characteristics of the craft production flow is ‘painting,embroiders,modification'.It also analyzes the needle method and the study of Han embroidery's material.The forth part contrasts and compares the cases of the successful application of Chinese traditional embroidery in modern women's clothing design in a show.The fifth part summarizes the principles and methods in how Hanxi embroidery can be rationally integrated with modern women's clothing.The innovative experiment will add Hanxi embroidery craftwork in new forms and with new technologies in modern women's clothing design.The sixth part is the practice of the work.On the basis of the content mentioned,the author interprets the Han embroidery unique elements,carries on the recombination and the re-creation,fuses the traditional Han embroidery element with the modern female dress in the graduation work,aimint to exploring more possiblity that can make them match with each other.At the same time,it is also a preliminary exploration of the principle of "Two Creations".In the end the research topic is summarized to explore the practical methods and application rules of Chinese embroidery craftwork in modern women's wear design.In the perspective of sustainable development,the author will have an in-depth excavation,comprehensive study,keep inheriting tradition,and make innovation,so as to preserve and protect traditional folk culture.Extending from "human destiny community" to "cultural destiny community" by focusing on this topic,that is,to promote the common development of other kinds of embroidery through the process of Hanxiu embroidery's inheritance and innovation.
