Study On The Spatial Pattern Characteristics And Formation Mechanism Of Jiangsu Marine Culture

The 21st century is called the “marine century.” Behind the fierce competition in marine economy,science and technology,resources,and maritime power in various countries is the competition of marine culture.Xi Jinping,general secretary of the CPC Central Committee,emphasized in his study that "building a marine power is an important part of the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics." Various coastal provinces and municipalities have stepped up research on marine culture.This paper takes the spatial pattern of Jiangsu marine culture and its formation mechanism as its theme,and selects Lianyungang,Yancheng and Nantong cities along the coast of Jiangsu as the research object.First,I defined relevant concepts such as culture,marine culture,marine culture industry,etc.,based on the literature of domestic and foreign scholars.Based on the basic theories of geography such as cultural areas,localities,cultural landscapes,and human-land relations,the data were collected by consulting relevant literature and field visit surveys,and comparative analysis and multidisciplinary comprehensive research methods were used for research.It was found that Jiangsu's marine cultural resources are characterized by diversity,economy,uniqueness,inheritance,political,and semi-openness.The spatial distribution of marine culture in Jiangsu is relatively broad.In general,the urban area of the local city is the center,and the characteristics of coastal distribution along the river are presented.Due to differences in the natural environment,industrial economy,historical evolution and strategic policies of different regions,the characteristics and distribution of cultural resources are also different.The counties and cities that have a long history have more cultural resources than those that formed later;the development of economic resources in developed counties and cities is significantly higher than that in economically underdeveloped regions.Finally,combining the significance,background,and realities of the protection and development of marine culture in Jiangsu,three suggestions for the development of innovation strategies,brand strategies,and talent strategies are proposed for practical problems.I want to provide assistance for the future protection and development of marine culture in Jiangsu Province.
