Study On Site Selection Method For Urban Public Parking Lot Based On GIS

With the rapid growth of national economy and the development of urbanization,the number of motor vehicles increased rapidly,Which leads to urban parking supply-demand imbalance.The parking difficult problem has become more obvious and has a strong impact on the quality of urban residents' life and the sustainable development of the city.Consequently,it is necessary to strengthen the construction of public parking lot and to formulate a scientific and reasonable layout plan,which not only has a great significance to improve the utilization rate of city space and the service level of city transportation,but also to increase the carrying capacity of city roads.However,commonly used methods at present have some deficiencies such as the abstraction of location model,the difficulty of traditional computational data acquisition,the model is difficult to solve and so on.On the contrary,GIS has obvious advantages such as the remarkable ability of data management and analyzed·space.As a result,this thesis researches the location of urban public parking lots on the basis of GIS spatial analysis method.Based on the existing research,this thesis introduces the basic theory of the urban public parking lots' location and GIS;puts forwards to the basic thinking of it;builds a three-step optimization site selection model for urban public parking lots,which covers the primary selection based on POI kermel density,the screening based on the site suitability and the optimization based on the restriction of condition.At the same time,the thesis detailedly presents the model algorithm and the realization process of construct spatial processing visual analysis process model which utilize the Model Builder of ArcGIS.Then,the iterative site selection analysis process,whose function is to get the result of the model,is constructed.Finally,an appraisal method of the location is presented.In this thesis,a case that the site selection of public parking lot in XiangXiang city is given to justify the feasibility of the model and to explain the important theoretical significance as well as the practical value of the urban public parking lot site selection method that is based on the GIS.
