The main purpose of parking planning and construction is to facilitate the parking of vehicles, alleviate traffic congestion, and improve the comfort of people. But in most cities, because of the unreasonable planning of the early parking lot,it can not give full play to its function and have many problems. It is mainly reflected in the parking lot construction position deviating from the parking demand center, some parking spaces in short supply, while others are no one. Therefore,it is particularly necessary to combine the layout of the parking lot with GIS technology before the construction of the parking lot. With the continuous development of GIS technology,it has many advantages compared with the traditional parking site selection method. It can consider multiple factors that influence site selection and render it in the form of map, which is very intuitive. Therefore,a multi-objective location model based on GIS analytic hierarchy process(AHP)is established to solve the parking lot location problem. The specific content mainly includes the following aspects:(1)On the basis of previous studies, this paper introduced the factors that affected the location of public parking lots and the traditional model of public parking site selection. At the same time, this paper introduced the basic principle and application of GIS technology, compared the shortcomings of traditional site selection method and obtained the advantages of GIS application in public parking site selection.(2)Based on GIS and analytic hierarchy process(AHP),a method of urban public parking site selection based on GIS and analytic hierarchy process(AHP)was proposed. This method was used to study the location of parking lots in Shenyang. On the basis of obtaining the alternative address set of parking lots,a single objective parking location model is established with the aim of minimizing the sum of traditional walking distances.(3)The investigation and analysis of parking situation in Shenyang were carried out.The parking demand of Shenyang was predicted on the basis of investigation of parking status. It is predicted that the peak parking demand in Shenyang is 1 million 747 thousand and 500 vehicles in 2020.In accordance with the total number of parking numbers and the ratio of car ownership to 1.2,the total demand for the Shenyang peak parking space in 2020 will be estimated to be 2 million 97 thousand.(4)The location method proposed in this paper was applied to the example of public parking lots in Shenyang, and the feasibility and practicability of the method were analyzed theoretically and empirically to verify the rationality of the method. The geospatial data and corresponding social attribute data of Shenyang city site selection were collected, such as road traffic network, parking interest point,Hospital School Map and population data, etc.Spatial database was built through GIS technology and the weight of each influencing factor was determined by analytic hierarchy process.According to the weight, the data processed by the ArcGIS software was divided into classes to determine the optional address set of the public parking lot. Then, the area was decomposed into each district, and the problem was transformed into seeking the location of single target parking lot in each district. The location model was established by minimizing the sum of the traditional walking distances.Combined with satellite image, the location of final parking lot was determined.According to the above method, the parking lot coordinatesare obtained(123.45462,41.79904)in a certain range of Shenhe area. The results show that the GIS technology has the incomparable advantages over the traditional parking site selection methods in the parking lot location optimization. Moreover, the multi-objective location model based on GIS analytic hierarchy process(AHP)is more practical in location selection.
