With the continuous development of infrared camera technology,it is widely used in monitoring and research of the biodiversity in reserves. From January 2017 to December 2018,60 infrared cameras were set up in Jinfo mountain national nature reserve and Jinyun mountain national nature reserve respectively to monitor the diversity of mammals and birds in the zone.By comparing the species composition, distribution type, relative abundance, activity routine,? diversity index and G-F index in the two reserves, the causes of the differences were discussed in this dissertation so as to provide protection measures and suggestions for Jinfo mountain reserve and Jinyun mountain reserve. The main results are summarized as follows:1.In the Jinfo mountain reserve, there are 35 identified species of wild animals: mammals exist in 4 orders,8 families and 16 kinds;birds exist in 4 orders,8 families and 19 kinds. Two species are categorized as the wildlife under first class state protection and seven species are categorized as the wildlife under second class state protection. There are at most 7 species carnivores in mammals and 3 species Passeriformes in birds.Based on the relative abundance index,Muntiacus reevesi,Macaca mulatta and Trachypithecus isi in mammals,Treron sphenurus,Tragopan temminckii and Chrysolophus pictus in birds are ranked as the most abundant species.Among mammals, there are up to 10 Oriental type(W)species;among birds, there are up to 9 Oriental type(W)species. In the Jinyun mountain reserve, there are 33 identified species of wild animals: mammals exist in 3 orders,6 families and 9 kinds;birds exist in 6 orders,14 families and 24 kinds.Three species are categorized as the wildlife under second class state protection. There are at most 5 species carnivores in mammals and 17 species Passeriformes in birds.Based on the relative abundance index,Muntiacus reevesi and Paguma larvata taivana in mammals,Myophonus caeruleus and Zoothera dauma in birds are ranked as the most abundant species.Among mammals, there are up to 4 Oriental type(W)species;among birds, there are up to 10 Oriental type(W)species.2.Eight same species of mammals and eleven same species of birds were detected in the two reserves, and the similarity index Cs of mammals and birds were 0.64 and 0.51 respectively. The species difference between Gold Buddha mountain reserve and Jinyun mountain reserve was not significant. In two reserves, the largest number of species is the Oriental type.3.According to the relative abundance of two reserves,Muntiacus reevesi was selected as the research object to analyze its yearly activity routine. The Muntiacus reevesi activities of the two reserves showed consistent routine, and the peak appeared in April and August respectively showed that the relative abundance of Muntiacus reevesi in two reserves during the spring and summer is high, and significantly higher than that of autumn and winter. The result correlates with the Muntiacus reevesi's activity habit and the working conditions of the infrared camera.4.The ? diversity index of mammals in Jinfo mountain was better than that in Jinyun mountain, but the index of birds was less than that in Jinyun mountain. The diversity of birds is better than that of mammals in two reserves.According to the G-F index, the diversity of birds and animals in Jinfo mountain reserve is better, and the niche differentiation degree is higher at the level of family and genera.Although the diversity of birds in Jinyun mountain reserve is good, the niche differentiation degree at the level of family and genus is low.5.According to the condition of infrared camera monitoring in Jinfo mountain and Jinyun mountain reserves, relevant protection measures and suggestions are put forward as:(1)strengthening the monitoring of infrared camera;(2)implementing targeted strategy to protect the key wild animals;(3)enhancing the connection with the surrounding area of the reserves;(4)promoting protection publicity;(5)controlling the scale of tourism.
