Along with the rapid development of China's economy,environmental issues have increasingly become the focus of attention of the Chinese people,especially in recent years,the emergence of haze weather has sounded an alarm to people.The large amount of carbon dioxide emissions is the main cause of climate warming,and the industrial sector is the main industry producing carbon dioxide.Improving the carbon efficiency of China's industrial region will become the top priority of industrial production in the future.Firstly,this paper combs the literatures of domestic and foreign scholars on carbon efficiency accounting,influencing factors of carbon efficiency,and convergence of carbon efficiency,and puts forward the research contents and research ideas of this paper.Secondly,through the formula of carbon emissions,the regional carbon dioxide emissions in China are measured and calculated.The results show that: from the total amount of carbon emissions,China and the eastern,central and western regions of carbon emissions.The total amount of carbon emissions showed a trend of increasing first and then decreasing,and there were significant differences among provinces and cities.In terms of carbon emission intensity,China,the east,West and central regions,and 30 provinces and municipalities showed a downward trend from 2007 to 2016.Carbon emission intensity is the smallest in the east,the second in the middle and the highest in the west.Thirdly,under the principles of scientificity,availability and systematicness,the evaluation index system of China's industrial carbon efficiency is constructed from three levels: carbon productivity,carbon competitiveness and growth rate of carbon productivity,and the principal component analysis method is used to calculate the carbon efficiency of industrial regions,from the overall and three regions respectively.The results show that:(1)China's industrial carbon efficiency has shown an overall upward trend in the past 10 years from the national level;(2)China's industrial carbon efficiency value in the region,the eastern > Central > western,the central and western industrial carbon efficiency value growth rate is higher than that in the eastern region,but the eastern,central and Western Industrial carbon efficiency value is higher than that in the eastern region,but the eastern,central and western industrial carbon efficiency value is higher than that in the eastern region.However,the gap has not decreased;(3)Within the provincial scope,the industrial carbon efficiency values between 30 provinces and municipalities are significantly different,and the provinces with the highest carbon efficiency values are mostly concentrated in the eastern region.On this basis,the PS panel convergence model is used to empirically analyze the convergence of China's industrial carbon efficiency.The results show that there is no overall convergence of China's industrial carbon efficiency,that is,the difference of China's industrial carbon efficiency will not decrease with the passage of time.Through the convergence test of carbon efficiency in China's industrial regions,it is found that there are five club convergence in China's industrial regions,including Beijing,Shanghai,Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Tianjin;Club type 2 includes Guangdong,Qinghai,Xinjiang,Heilongjiang,Hubei,Anhui,Jilin and Henan;Club type 3 includes Shandong,Jiangxi,Zhejiang and Tianjin;Club type 2 includes Guangdong,Qinghai,Xinjiang,Heilongjiang,Hubei,Anhui,Jilin and Henan provinces and cities.Shaanxi,Liaoning,Hainan,Chongqing,Inner Mongolia,Shanxi,Ningxia and Hunan 10 provinces and cities;Club type 4 includes Fujian,Guangxi,Gansu,Yunnan,Guizhou,Hebei 6 provinces and cities;and Sichuan Province as a separate divergent type.Further examination of club merger shows that club type 4 and club type 5 can be merged into the same type,and ultimately there are four Club types in 30 provinces and municipalities.Finally,according to the research results and China's national conditions,we should increase investment in scientific research,promote research and development of low-carbon technology,optimize energy consumption structure,vigorously develop new energy resources,and formulate differentiated carbon efficiency promotion policies.In order to improve the regional carbon efficiency,three policy suggestions are put forward to improve China's industrial carbon efficiency and narrow the regional carbon efficiency gap.
