Monitoring and benefit evaluation of the Natural Forest Conservation Program(NFCP)and the Returning Farmland to Forest Project(RFFP),is very vital for the supervision of projects'application and the adjustment of forestry policies.Yunyang County in Chongqing was selected as the typical demonstration area to carry out technology research on vegetation recovery monitoring of the forestry ecological project.Through feature extraction of remote sensing image,OTSU threshold segmentation and object-oriented classification,research the algorithm of reforestation site identifying,forest extraction,forest type isolation,forest distribution change and natural forest change for NFCP and GTGP,producing relevant thematic information products.In addition,combined with monitoring requirements of NFCP and GTGP,this paper established high-resolution remote sensing application technology system which satisfied the operational requirements of dynamically monitoring forestry ecological projects so as to integrate data management,afforestation check,dynamic forest resources monitoring and forestry-related products produce into the demo system.The combination of high-resolution satellite image and remote sensing application technology is good for the management and construction of forestry ecological projects,and can improve the technological level of examining and monitoring national forestry resources.
