As the core gripper of “the Belt and Road strategy” and “national transportation development strategy” and the first capital of the social public utilities, transport infrastructure is the leader to optimize the regional distribution of elements and promote cross regional industry interworking.Due to the sharp contradiction between the current regional economic growth and the deterioration of resources and environment, promoting the construction of transportation infrastructure oriented by green ecology and premised on resource conservation, which drives the growth of green total factor productivity(green TFP),is the fundamental method to solve the contradiction. The government's incentives and constraints are the key to ensure the high-quality development of transportation infrastructure. Therefore, the study of traffic economic effect plays an important role in traffic infrastructure investment, traffic planning and management, which will provide guidance and reference for the policy formulation of governments at all levels and the development planning of transportation enterprises.Eventually,it will boost the green and efficient development of China's transportation infrastructure. On the beginning, this paper elaborated the concept definition of the green transpotation economic effect and its correlation theory. Then it analysed the impact of transport infrastructure on the growth of green total factor productivity from three paths, micro, macro and feedback, which forms the theoretical basis of this paper. After that, the green total factor productivity of China's provinces was calculated by using the method of green total factor productivity. From the perspective of transportation infrastructure, the trend of GTFP was analyzed from four aspects: growth source, spatial distribution, annual change and five-year plan. Finally, the the green transportation economic effect model was constructed on the green total factor productivity as the explanatory variable,in order to measure the green transpotation economic effect of transportation infrastructure on the growth of green total factor productivity. The coefficient estimation, effect decomposition and effect proportion analysis were carried out.The main conclusions drawn in this paper are as follows: No.1.The measurement results of green transportation economic effect model show that indirect effect is higher than direct effect under the condition of economic matrix.Among that, the acceleration from the regional highway and railway investment to the green total factor productivity is dropping. The disadvantages of investment patterns at the expense of resources and environment are gradually emerging.;No.2.The combined index after adding flow index can better reflect the contribution of transportation infrastructure to green total factor productivity in the short term.Besides, under different weights, the advantages of highway and railway passenger transport density complement each other. The decline of railway freight transport density is obvious. The density "central collapse" and scale inefficiency of the first and second class highways gradually appear. In view of the above conclusions, suggestions are made: the government should integrate transportation planning systems into economic and social systems to guide the allocation and rationalization of the investment scale and structure of transportation infrastructure. It is conducive to the implementation of high-quality and efficient transport investment under the guidance of green development concept.Ultimately,it will provide guidance and advise on the planning of the construction and operation of the whole life cycle of transportation infrastructure.
