Study On The Interaction Development Of Xiamen Port And City Based On System Dynamics

“The port,established for the city,brings prosperity to the city,and both of them help each other forward.” This is a universal law of the evolution of port cities worldwide.The benign interaction between port and city,is a fundamental precondition for solving the problems of the sluggish and the lack of international competitiveness of port cities,and is also the key to the sustainable development of the port city.It is of practical guiding significance for the coordinative,sound and rapid development of port and city,to explore the interaction mechanism of port and city,and to grasp the interactive development law of port and city.Xiamen,as a special economic zone,prospers for the port.The port is not only the business card,but also the important resource of a city.Its development has made a great contribution to the economic prosperity and social progress of Xiamen.Xiamen is now focusing on building the International Shipping Center,applying for the construction of free trade zone,and increasing the policies of supporting and developing the port.On the other hand,Xiamen is a port garden city,and the land resources,especially shoreline resources,are very scarce.The port development and expansion have a huge consumption of land and shoreline resources.Obviously,there are some contradictions between the port and the utilization of land resources of the city.In this background,relying on the interaction mechanism of port and city and the theory of system dynamics,based on the analysis of the interaction between port and city,the role in promoting the economic development of International Shipping Center and free trade zone,the development of Xiamen port and city,and the conflict in the use of land resources between the port and city,this paper divides the Xiamen port and city system into three subsystems: port,urban economy and land resources,this paper sets up a development model of the interaction between Xiamen port and city,based on system dynamics,and researches the interaction mechanism of Xiamen port and city.It is of certain practical significance to use Vensim software to show the evolution the of future development of Xiamen port and city,and putting forward the port-city interactive development model considering the land resource occupancy factors,and optimizing the future development of Xiamen port and city through adjusting the systematic policy factors,and tabling proposals about how to play the leading role of special economic zone,International Shipping Center,and free trade zone,and to intensively use the limited land and shoreline resources,and to balance the contradiction of land resource utilization between the port and city,and to better promote the synergetic and sustainable development of Xiamen port and city.
