| Natural resources are the foundation of human survival and development,but natural resources are limited,and there is also a limit to human carrying capacity.In recent years,with the rapid development of urbanization,economic growth and rapid increase in population have caused problems such as excessive resource consumption and ecological damage to become increasingly prominent.Under such circumstances,how to effectively allocate natural resources,improve the efficiency of resource utilization,and enhance the research on the carrying capacity of natural resources have important theoretical and practical significance.This article takes Chongqing city as an example to construct land resources carrying capacity evaluation model and water resources carrying capacity evaluation model,and then the two subsystems constitute the evaluation system of natural resources carrying capacity.The carrying capacity of natural resources and their dynamic changes are estimated in Chongqing from 2000 to 2015 to improve the theory,method,and practice of evaluating the carrying capacity of natural resources.To find out the major factors affecting the carrying capacity of natural resources,and then combine theory with practice,proposing policies to improve the carrying capacity of natural resources.The main findings of this paper are as follows:1)Through the study of land resources carrying capacity in Chongqing,the results show that the spatial distribution differences of land resources carrying capacity in Chongqing area are very significant,with a distribution pattern of high west and low east,and at the same time,the land resources carrying capacity of the main urban area is more prominent.The highest area is Yuzhong District,reaching 88.4.At the same time,in 15 years,the growth area of land resources carrying capacity in Chongqing accounted for 56% of the total area,indicating that land resources utilization in Chongqing is moving in a benign direction,and the land resources carrying capacity has increased.The obvious area is the western region of Chongqing.2)Through the study of the water resources carrying capacity of Chongqing,theresults show that the overall spatial distribution of water resources carrying capacity in Chongqing shows a trend of low in the south,high in the north,and high in the west and low in the east;the water resources carrying capacity gradually increases in 15 years.The area of growth in carrying capacity accounted for 69% of the total area,and the area of decline was 31%.The districts and counties with the most significant decrease in carrying capacity were Yongchuan District,followed by Chengkou County.3)Through the study on the carrying capacity of natural resources in Chongqing,the results show that the average carrying capacity of natural resources is 51.84 in Chongqing from 2000 to 2015.Its carrying capacity in the spatial distribution shows a decreasing trend from west to east,mainly distributed in northeastern and southeast area of Chongqing.Its carrying capacity showed a slight upward trend during the past 15 years.The area of upward accounted for 60.57%,an average increase of 0.66.4)Through the research on the influencing factors of the carrying capacity of natural resources in Chongqing,the results show that: In addition to the natural factors such as land resources,water resources,rock desertification,and soil erosion,the urbanization process is also an important influencing factors on carrying capacity of natural resources.There is a clear positive correlation between the population per square kilometer and the GDP and the carrying capacity of natural resources in Chongqing,which shows that in the period of high-speed urbanization,population distribution and economic development have a certain role in promoting the carrying capacity of natural resources.And at the same time,The improvement of capabilities will also lay a solid foundation for economic and social development. |
