In recent years,the cultural and media industry has developed vigorously and has become the mainstay of economic development of various countries.China's cultural media industry has also ushered in the golden period of development.According to relevant statistics,the output value of cultural media industry reached 3025.4 billion yuan in 2016,breaking the threshold of 3 trillion yuan and contributing 4.07%of the economic output value to the gross national product.The cultural media industry has become an important force in China's economic development.The main reason for the rapid development of cultural media enterprises is to make strategic acquisitions,realize the strategic intention of rapid expansion and grow and develop in the process of strategic merger and acquisition.However,there are risks to strategic mergers and acquisitions,and once mishandled,there will be a huge crisis.Through the strategic intention and the case study of m&a performance,this paper hopes to provide relevant references for other cultural media enterprises to make strategic acquisitions.This article selected case Blue Focus for the main body,with its 2013-2014 period five overseas strategic mergers and acquisitions as the research object,and analyzes the strategic intention of blue cursor and the economic consequences of strategic merger.Aiming at the strategic acquisition intention of Blue Focus,this paper analyzes Blue Focus respectively using Michael Porter's Five Forces Model and the SWOT model.The research results show that the intention of strategic m&a in the cultural media industry is mainly to acquire excellent production technology,learn advanced management experience and introduce outstanding talents.Expanding production scale;Acquire and integrate customer resources;Rich business type,perfect service chain.In view of the economic consequences of strategic m&a of blue cursor,this paper analyzes the results of strategic m&a intention,combines balanced scorecard and constructs the performance evaluation system.It is concluded that strategic m&a is not obvious to the financial performance of cultural media enterprises.Strategic m&a has significantly improved its non-financial performance.Therefore,the text argues that strategic m&a can help cultural media enterprises realize their corresponding strategic intention,improve the competitive advantage of enterprises and improve corporate performance.Based on the above analysis,this paper puts forward some Suggestions for optimizing the strategic m&a of cultural media enterprises:First,the enterprise should make clear its own strategic objectives,make strategic acquisitions around the target,and avoid the risks brought by blind mergers and acquisitions;Secondly,select the acquisition object with high quality resources,such as selecting the leading enterprise of the market as the acquisition object,etc.;Finally,in the process of strategic m&a,cultural media enterprises should actively strengthen the elite staff structure.This paper hopes to provide some references for the strategic m&a of other cultural media enterprises through the case study of the overseas strategic m&a performance of Blue Focus.
