As the growth of small and medium-sized construction enterprise,Hunan Jingcheng construction engineering co.,Ltd.wants to survive and develop in the fierce competition of construction industry.It not only needs to adjust technical innovation,cost management and strategic management,but should pay attention to the performance management,which plays an important role in motivating key position talents,and improving the department and employee performance.Based on the characteristics of company performance management,this paper puts forward further optimizing scheme of current performance management system.The effective performance management is the key for the company to seize development opportunities of Changsha construction during thirteen five period.This paper firstly deals with the related theory and method of performance management at home and abroad in order to provide theoretical basis for the design of performance management improvement program.Secondly,we explore the current performance management existing some problems such as lack of detailed quantitative indicators,salary incentive mechanism lack of scientific nature,low employees work efficiency from leadership,performance culture,and management system.Furthermore,the paper presents the improvement programs based on company strategic target implementation.Specifically,we are very clear about the key driving factors and key performance indicators from the financial,internal business process,customer and market,learn and grow dimensions.This paper constructs the firm-level performance index system frame,through layers of decomposition to the related department and staff posts,and forms a departmental and post level employees performance appraisal index system.The improvement project of performance management has the characteristic of construction enterprises to consider.The new approach focuses on the role of the performance management in attracting and motivating key position talents,improving enterprise level of qualification and guaranteeing the construction quality and safety.This paper can provide a reference for small and medium-sized construction enterprises to improve the level of performance management.
