| Vietnam,one of the important members of the ASEAN,has carried out the economic reform which was called "reform and opening up" from 1986.It has gone through an earth-shaking change in its economy and the great transformation of the political and social system.In this progress,labor relation serves as an important subsystem for supporting stable and smooth economic transition.Since January of 2007 when Vietnam joined WTO formally,its rich labor resources have provided a well prospect for foreign-owned companies entering the market.Over the past few years,in order to improve the labor standard in Vietnam,the government never ceases to modify labor policies,laws and regulations to improve worker’s satisfaction.Against such background,the foreign-owned enterprises face not only market competition but also raised costs caused by the strict implementation of labor standard,and labor disputes and increased conflicts because of enterprises’ needing to decrease labor compensation.Therefore,understanding factors affecting collective action tendency and compensation satisfaction is an important and meaningful research subject.It is hoped to bring beneficial lessons and ideas for the enterprise manager to solve labor relation conflicts.From the perspective of labor relations,this study briefly introduces the present Vietnam labor relations and analyzes,based on social cognitive theory and reasoned action theory,the relationship among legal knowledge,compensation satisfaction and the collective action tendency of the labors,intermediary function of the compensation satisfaction for relationship between legal knowledge and the collective action tendency,and regulation of perceiving labor union’ function for compensation satisfaction and the collective action tendency.Based on this,strategies for resolving labor relation conflicts are proposed.By means of a questionnaire survey,this study obtains 292 employee samples to test hypothetic structural equation model by using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0 data analysis software for data analysis.The results show that: firstly,the legal knowledge has significant negative correlation with the collective action tendency;secondly,the legal knowledge has significant positive correlation with compensation satisfaction;Thirdly,compensation satisfaction has significant negative correlation with collective action tendency;Fourthly,compensation satisfaction plays a remarkable intermediary role in legal knowledge and collective action tendency;endly,perception of labor union’ function play a remarkable role in adjusting compensation satisfaction and collective action tendency.Based on the above conclusions,this article studies the relationship among employee’s legal knowledge,compensation satisfaction and perception of labor union’ function so as to put forward suggestions for the government,enterprise,labor union and employee to make a harmonious labor relations in Vietnam.Thus,this study can enrich the theory model of labor relation and has a practical significance to a certain extent. |
