With the implementation of main industry and auxiliary industry separation reform policy in the State Grid Enterprises,reorganization of integration of design and construction enterprises is completed.Provincial and above design institutes of electric power and survey are stripped from the State Grid Enterprise,and are respectively placed under China Energy construction group Corporation Limited and Power Construction Corporation of China,they are all facing new opportunities and challenges.In order to seize opportunities,meet challenges,to enhance the overall strength of Electric power survey and design institute,employees and businesses to progress and harmonious development,to achieve steady development,sustainable development and new transformation of upgrading,it is necessary to rethink and choose the development strategic position of the Electric power survey and design institute.On September 29,2011,China Power Construction Group Co.,Ltd.and Power Construction Corporation of China have been established,for several electric power and survey design institutes,they have to fully exploit potential,continue to consolidate the traditional business on the basis,change the operating mechanisms and business modes,highlighting the core assets and the profitability of core business,to find a valid path of value formation.Herein J Provincial Electric Power Design Institute is a state-owned provincial power and survey Design Company and a wholly owned subsidiary of China Power Construction Group Co.,Ltd.Under the current situation,how to get strategic position and development plan become a problem that leaders of J Provincial Electric Power Design Institute are very concerned about.This paper is divided into seven parts.Chapter I: Introduction,to demonstrate the background and significant of the research and describe research content and research methods used.Chapter II: Overview of the theory,made necessary introduction and description on relevant theoretical basis.Chapter III: Analysis on internal environment of electric power design institute of J province,made analysis on the major advantages possessed and main problems existed from the aspect of human resource,financial resources,technical resources and client resources based on the basic situation of electric power design institute in J province.Chapter IV: Analysis on external environment of electric power design institute of J province,made analysis on the macroscopic environment of electric power design institutes of J province by adopting PEST model,demonstrate the development situation of electric power industrial at home and abroad,and made comparison on main competitors to clear their advantages and disadvantages.Chapter V: decision and implementation of development strategy of electric power design institute in J province.To confirm the development strategy choice and position,strategic implementation of electric power design institute of J province by using SWOT method based on the analysis and research on internal and external environment of electric power design institute of J province.Chapter VI: Safeguard measures of development strategy of electric power design institutes in J province.Chapter VII: Conclusion and expectation.In this paper,several analysis methods such as SWOT method,external factors evaluation matrix,internal factor evaluation matrix and relevant data are adopted to provide a strong argument for development strategy of electric power design institutes in J province.Meanwhile,this paper also proposes safeguard measures to development strategy to protect the development strategy of electric power design institutes in J province can be timely landing.
