| With the development of project management,project management office plays a more and more important role,especially in the organization or department that based on projects.The appearance of project management office enhanced development of project management,and improved the maturity level of it.The thesis studied project management office in a systematic way,based on previous research done by experts,from concept of project management office,types of project management office---Project level project management office,to department level of project management office and strategic project management office.And researched how to build a reasonable office based on organization demand.Then deeply analyzed organization structure,responsibility of project management office,and emphasized the meaning of implement it.The thesis mainly did a deep analysis on E company on the basis of the theory learned above.E company is an operational company,but there are also many projects going on to improve its management and technical skills,and to achieve strategic goal.Then described how E company manage their project management office,responsibilities of each area or personnel,then analyzed short backs and points to be improved.At last,I,as the author,provided my suggestion on how to improve project management office in E company: adjust organizational structure of E company,define position and type of PMO in E company;improve organization structure of PMO,define responsibilities of PMO employee and employees in other function area,gain more support from line leader,improve key performance evaluation and so on.In this way,project management office can play a more important role in company strategic goal achieving. |
