| Most of family businesses in China were founded in the last of the 80s. After 30 years of development, the family businesses have played a crucial role in economic society. Meanwhile, as the age of the first generation entrepreneurs is increasing, family business in China is stepping into the period of succession. Now, most of family businesses in China choose the Interior Succession pattern. Thus, the problem of successor cultivation becomes an important aspect in the study of family business succession. Based on this background, this study is about successor cultivation of family business in China. This study aims at enriching the theoretical achievements in the field, at the same time this study hopes to provide some practice guidance to the family business in China on the problem of successor cultivation.This paper mainly uses the grounded theory to analyze. the interview data of family business successors. Firstly, this study chooses a typical case to build a preliminary theoretical model, and then through the multiple-case study this paper verifies and supplements the final research conclusion. This paper found the concept of successor development pattern, the results of culture, and regulated variable in this process.Finally, this study builds the model of family business successor development pattern and its results. Successor development pattern includes: family education, school education, working in the family business enterprise ,working outside and starting a business; Training results include: ability, consciousness of promotion, Leadership factor,setting up the authority and succession intention; the regulated variable is the influence factors in this process, including successor factors, other people factors, enterprise and family factors. This paper makes a detailed analysis about the meaning of these concepts and their relations .Based on the final results, this study proposes the research revelation to the successor cultivation of the family business in China. |
