As a kind of enterprise organization form, family business has aroused controversy, but it can’t stop the situation of the rapid development of the family business. Kelin E. Gersick said:“Even if the the most conservative estimates, he think the between 65% and 80% enterprises in the world owned by family or managed, the 40% of the world top 500 enterprises owned by the family or managed on Managing Change of the Family Business”. Family business has played a major role in the world economic development. By the end of 2013, the registration of private enterprises in our country has reached 12.539 million; individual business households, growth of 15.5% and 15.5% respectively over the previous year. The family business accounted for more than 90%, not including the part of private enterprises in the family management. So the family business has become the pole of most dynamic economic growth in China.Zhejiang private enterprises accounted for half of all sectors of the national economy in both the existence of the private economy, especially those in the province accounted for more than the total GDP 50% of the secondary industry. But also in Zhejiang province, to the family business as the core of the private economic development is achieved surprising results. Since reform and opening up in 1978, rapid economic development in Zhejiang Province, has become the country’s economic development situation best, the fastest growing provinces. 2013 in Zhejiang province’s GDP of about 3.7568 trillion yuan, compared with 12.373 billion yuan in 1978, nearly 303 times more than in the national ranking, also from 1978, the first 12 has risen to fourth position, changes in the private economy in which natural and ultimately the credit of these figures. Since the reform and opening up, especially in the early 1980 s around the region have started the first batch of Zhejiang farmers to business owners and private enterprises, development of the private economy also will run into a wall, as of the end of 2013, Zhejiang Province registered private households to 936,300, and the average household with a registered capital reached 2.875 million yuan.But in recent years, the successor problem of China’s family business is increasing. The main reason is that the first generation entrepreneurs’ life is going into a natural recession after 30 years of enterprise management, they are faced with how to choose a successor and make the enterprise transition problem —— the family business succession, the internal inheritance or the external recruitment, ability or loyalty, emotional or reason, etc. he successor problem of China’s family business is more serious because of the unique “home country” traditional culture in China and the policy of family planning. Therefore, for the family enterprise sustainable development, the paper try to find out the corresponding countermeasure, based on the family business succession in our country as the research object.The paper explore the successor problems and troubles of the family business and solve these problem during the transmission of family business.In this paper on the basis of summarizing the related literature.First, state the related theory. Second, analysis characteristics, influence factors and inheritance mechanism of family business in Zhejiang area by using empirical study and Introduce family business characteristics embodied experience in succession of Japan, the United States and the European. Then analyses the reason of the family business succession mechanism as well as the advantages and disadvantages. Finally, combining with the management theory of Family Governance and Self Governance, applying the Creeds of Family Governance and the Creeds of Self Governance, put forward the methods and Suggestions to solve the problem of family business successor, and provide some advice for the continued growth of family business.
