As the business competition is becoming increasingly fierce, effective performance management system can enhance the competitiveness of enterprises, to ensure the realization of strategic target, therefore enterprises should pay attention to optimize the performance management system. This thesis uses the mature theory of performance management,combined with DR company's actual performance management work,making a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the DR company's performance management level, and further optimizes the performance management system of DR company according to the existing problems, to improve employee satisfaction and overall performance level, to guarantee the realization of the strategic objectives, to strengthen the company's core competitiveness.This thesis contains five chapters, and the main contents are as follows: Firstly, it introduces the writing background, the research purposes and significance, and explains research ideas, methods and innovation. Secondly, performance management system of DR Company is diagnosed from the perspective of corporate culture, organizational structure,strategic understanding, compensation management, and the performance management system defects in DR Company are identified. And then the author proposes the optimizing design process of performance management system, and optimizes performance appraisal system of DR Company by the use of the balanced scorecard, key performance indicators and 360 degree performance appraisal. Finally, the operation process of DR Company performance management system is expounded, including performance planning,performance coaching, performance evaluation, performance feedback, and safeguard measures are established to guarantee performance management system operation.Performance management system is the core of human resource management system.Companies should attach importance to the optimization of the performance management system. Formulating performance evaluation indicators should be based on key factors for the success of the company. Performance appraisal is only a part of performance management.Performance improvement depends on the team and individual performance management circle. Strengthening performance management training is an effective method to ensure performance management system work successfully.
