Hebei Home Hotels Ltd. is a representative of the Shijiazhuang city economic chain hotel. From the beginning of the establishment of the hotel, in the past ten years of development has achieved rapid development, the scale of the hotel continues to expand, has set up a hotel management company. However, in recent years, the market environment is becoming more and more serious, and the industry competition is increasingly fierce, the hotel’s operating performance growth is slow, it is difficult to achieve great development. This paper decides to start from the hotel’s performance management, try to find out the existing problems of the hotel performance management, and to be resolved, and hope to have a long-term development of the hotel to provide some help.Through the hotel management and the part of the hotel staff interview, the author has a more detailed understanding with hotels performance management situation. In order to find out more effective comprehensive performance management problems that exist in the hotel, and the author then has carried on the questionnaire survey. Through qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis of the hotel performance management, in the end, this paper discusses the problems of hotel performance management, and analyzes the root of the problem, combining with the knowledge of the performance management, according to the actual situation of the hotel, in determining the hotel after the mission vision as well as the overall strategic target, the author decides for the hotel to build a set of index system based on balanced scorecard. The system includes the hotel level, departmental level and staff of the balanced scorecard. Finally, this paper develops the operating system for the index system and puts forward the measures to ensure the smooth operation of the new performance management system.This paper studies how to build a new performance management system based on Hotel strategy as a starting point. It promotes the performance management level of the hotel. It enhances the competitiveness of the hotel and it is conducive to the long-term development of the hotel. At the same time, this paper enriches the research on the application of Balanced Scorecard in the hotel.
