| With the fast development of information technology,the enterprises have to implement business process reengineering using efficient project management system in order to maintain sustainable competitiveness.For engineering construction corporations,the Engineering Procurement Construction(hereafter EPC)projects are the main type of business whose effectively operation and management depends on the clear and smooth every project process.However,the traditional project management mode cannot guarantee this point,and then it has become an inevitable choice for enterprises to construct a new project management system.As a widely uses information system,the System Applications and Products in Data Processing(hereafter SAP)system has been proved to be effective in improving the level and efficiency of enterprise's project management based on theory and many cases.Yet,on the one hand,current researches on SAP system is less involved in the project management sector.On the other hand,there are few studies applying the SAP system to engineering construction corporations which have the most strongly needs for SAP system.Based on the theoretical and practical background,this paper tries to inspect the application of SAP system to EPC projection using the Linuo Power Group as the case.We firstly review related literatures in Chapter 2,including corporation's business process reengineering,EPC project management and the development and application of SAP system Then in Chapter 3,we analyze the current key business process of EPC project in corporation,that are project approval,contract creation and approval,payment and delivery process.On this basis,we found that there are some problems in the process of project management,material management and financial management,according to interviews with related staff.And these problems can hinder the future development of enterprise's EPC project.Meanwhile,we summarize corporation's main requirement of EPC project and find that SAP system can fully meet these requirementsAs a kind of standardized project management system,the effective operation of SAP system depends on its overall design.In Chapter 4,we investigate the overall design of SAP system from three aspects that are main data,the authority design of each department and position and statement.Based on the actual situation of corporation,we describe and analyze the collection method,steps and control points on the main data of material,supplier and project management of EPC project in SAP system.And we also redesign the authority of each position and the statement,and we present them with examples.In Chapter 5,we redesign and improve the project approval,contract creation and approval,payment and delivery process based on SAP system,which points at the shortcomings existing in the four main process of corporation's project management.And it effectively improves the efficiency of enterprise's project management and avoids the potential operation risk.In Chapter 6,we analyze the implement effect of SAP system.In general,the implement of SAP system significantly improve the level of information on corporation's project management,which makes corporations' business process become standardized and controllable,project implement is integrated and efficient,main data are true and unified.According to theory and practice,we put forward the key factors affecting the effective implement of SAP system,which include the strong support and participation of corporation's leaders,the active participation of key users,the collection of true basic data,the establishment of effective staff training system and good corporate culture.In Chapter 7,we summarize the whole paper and propose the direction of future researches... |
