In recent years,the fierce competition in the market forces enterprises to improve their overall capacity of operations management.In order to meet the diverse needs of customers,the supply chain management theories are used by manufacturing enterprises to improve the company's competitiveness.As the starting point of the supply chain,development and management of suppliers have great impact on the entire supply chain and enterprises' operations.The small and medium manufacturing enterprises are vulnerable groups in competitions.And they must improve products' technological content,shorten delivery time and enhance the quality of service etc.to survive from competition and achieve development.Therefore,this thesis will focus on vulnerable small and medium enterprises' supplier development and management strategy,which will help vulnerable small and medium enterprises enhance their overall strength.The thesis starts with describing the development of supplier development and management,and then analyzes the domestic and abroad research status of the vulnerable small and medium enterprises.The supplier development process and evaluation index system are concluded after researching the general theories and cases of enterprise' supplier development and management.In the case analysis section,the status of TS Company's supplier development and management are described firstly.Then existing deficiencies are pointed out.At last based on the deficiencies,several suggestions are proposed,such as: improving supplier development process,establish supplier assessment panel,supplier activity based classification and the establishment of supplier evaluation index system.With these methods,TS Company's supplier development and management problems are solved.The supplier development and management evaluation index system set up for the vulnerable small and medium enterprises has done much help to solve TS Company's problems,and may also be a reference for other vulnerable small and medium manufacturing enterprises.
