| It is significant to cultivate the scientific quality of the juveniles on behalf of the con struction of socialist modernization and the construction of innovative country. It has bee n widely concerned by the country, family and the society. This paper is cast study on the subject of enhancing minor science quality by Association for Science and Technology(AST), in order to the AST to further develop <National Action Plan for Scientific Literac y>providing the corresponding suggestions and opinions, meanwhile to establish the foun dation of cultivating and innovating new generations for our nation.Found in the sample survey on the part of schools and different ages of students in Yixing City, the status of scientific literacy of juveniles is very worrisome, mainly: the level of understanding of basic scientific knowledge is not optimistic; to more common, basic kno wledge experience, internalization is not enough; the understanding of the extracurricular science knowledge is too little; independent thinking judgment ability is poor; the underst anding of scientific knowledge of the channel is too narrow; lack to participate in activitie s on promulgate science and technology, and so on. On AST's working on improving the scientific quality of juveniles, there exists problems in system and policy guarantee, huma n resources, object, scope and means aspects.On the subject of cultivating juvenile science literacy, AST has a great advantage in terms of flexibility and foreseeability relative to the administrative departments of education. I n the information age, AST should try to introspect relying on advanced educational philo sophy; abandon formality, adjust operation mode, play to intelligence intensive advantage and give full play to the advantage of the academic community, so as to strengthen the A ssociation for Science and Technology in juveniles scientific quality of the work of the go vernment function. |
