3D laser scanning technology is applied to scan and measure large objects.With the development and improvement of laser technology and electronic technology,three-dimensional laser measurement technology has gradually undergone a series of development from the light of the point structure to the light of the line structure and currently a surface structure of light,which is due to the scientific and technological development and social progress.Although the research of 3D laser scanning measurement technology is very deep around the world today,there are still some deficiencies in the measurement of large objects based on the current technology.This paper referred to the existing 3D laser scanning measurement technology and the related research results and literature,analyzed and designed a test method and measurement system to scan the large objects,and concluded a point cloud process quickly and the results are of high precision.In this paper,large objects are used as the measured objects.Analyzing and summarizing errors are produced in the process based on the data measurement after the sorting and collecting steps in order to establish the mathematical model of point cloud data to analysis the relationship between the parameters of the preprocessing and model,which provides important empirical and parameter basis for the design of the 3D laser scanning measurement system.In this paper,the causes and methods of the errors of the three-dimensional laser scanning system are introduced and illustrated.The causes of the five kinds of common error sources and the elimination and weakening methods are also described in detail.The scanning instrument maximizes the reduction of errors during a large object measurement.Point cloud data processing and boundary extraction are the most important parts of the process in terms of the laser three-dimensional scanning system.The author explained the extraction of the plane boundary and spatial surface boundary in detail and put forward some data processing and boundary extraction methods.After detailed comparison and analysis,a most appropriate and efficient method is chosen.Based on the theoretical study of laser scanning geometrical measurement of large objects,an algorithm and measurement method for three-dimensional laser scanning measurements of large-scale objects is proposed in the paper,which is of use to measure large-scale objects in high-speed and lead to a precise output.The measurement errors are managed within an allowable range and the large-scale high temperature forgings are also analyzed in detail.
