With the development of computer technology, product design, manufacturing and inspection are more and more relied on computer. Meanwhile, Digitalizing complex object surface becomes the new challenge. Making the process of digitalizing more accurate, economic and efficient is also very important.In this paper, a new laser stripe extraction method is introduced, making the extraction more accurate and dramatically improved the calculation efficiency; The laser intensity control method in this paper enhanced the usability of the scanner on different materials and different measure environment; A new multi-channel data fusion algorithm effectively improved the accuracy of multi-channel data fusion and the calculation efficiency; Automatic calibration technology greatly improved the speed of scanner calibration and calibration accuracy; Successfully introduced the ICP algorithm to point cloud data automatic alignment and point cloud data quality assessment.Firstly, this paper introduced the basic principles of a 3D laser scanner and its key challenges. Then, based on the software framework developed by the author, the measurement module, movement control module, automatic calibration module, data post-processing module and user interface are discussed respectively.
