Research On TV Literary Evening Issues

Along with rapid development of China's economic society and prosperity of media,an all-embracing art form,television variety show,has emerged for a long time to bring fun to people's life.The splendid performance and the huge amount of information conveyed through the performance have turned television variety show into a public aesthetic culture.In 1983,CCTV Spring Festival Gala appeared as a representative of television variety shows.After more than three decades of development,Chinese television variety shows have impressed Chinese with their novel program design,huge performance cast and integration of Chinese elements.It is apt to say that Chinese television variety shows have unique artistic charm and appreciation value.However,there is one problem,that is,the overall program creation level of variety shows has failed to progress along with development of television technologies and social artistic creations.Some variety shows are far from being satisfying.In recent years,there has even been a widespread belief that variety shows “are getting worse year by year”,and some even advocate stopping holding any variety shows.In response to these critics,some creators often patiently explain,“In fact,variety shows are progressing year by year.” However,the simple explanation cannot subside the controversy.Considering the development status of television art in China,it is necessary to conduct an in-depth and detailed research of television variety shows.Art performance of television variety shows has been integrated into every aspect of life.For a long period,different types of variety shows dominated Chinese TV channels.However,recent years have witnessed dramatic changes of China's television variety shows,and China's television variety shows have been faced with unprecedented challenges.Those “formularized” variety shows,in particular,are just “one-for-all deals” no matter how splendid their stage is.At present,quality is the deciding factor of all television variety shows.Only when television variety shows adhere to the market value rules and strive for harmonious unity between social benefits and economic benefits can they gain a foothold in the television art market.This paper consists of four chapters.Chapter 1 systematically analyzes the development process of television variety shows and summarizes characteristics of variety shows in different periods.Chapter 2 focuses on pointing out problems existing in China's television variety shows from the perspective of program,structure and expression methods.Chapter 3 analyzes the in-depth causes behind the above problems.Chapter 4 provides development strategies in the hope of reinvigorating development of television variety shows.
