Y company is a cable TV network corp.ltd,with its unique network platform and secure operation system,focusing on the promotion and application of multimedia services,providing network application and operational services for radio and television,government information,urban information construction,and home information facilities.As the government pushes forward the "triple play bundling",the cable industry is turning from monopoly to market,from single basic business to data business.With the sudden change of the industry structure,Y Company faces new challenges of its internal management,as well as the double test from both industry competition and re-positioning itself.In this paper,based on the concept of competitiveness and core competitiveness,using competitive advantage theory,competitive strategy and related theories,the author has deep research and analysis on how to promote the competitiveness of the Y cable network business by the PESTEL and five function model.Based on the analysis of the competition status of Y cable network,we analyzes the macro environment and internal environment of the Y cable network business,and studies the industrial environment with the Potter five forces model at first.Secondly,from the perspective of resource,system mechanism and ability,we choose eight indexes to develop an evaluation index system of business competitiveness,including brand,position,strategy,management,integrating mechanism,exploring ability,standardized service level,technical skills.product and service ability,technical skills,ability to strategic planning.And then,we will summarize the experience of the Y Company.Finally,in the above theoretical analysis and practical research,put forward the company's competence from strategic planning,product and service improvement,innovation operation mode,the integration of resource,culture rebuilding,industry chain extension.
