With the continued popularity of the concept of "safety, environmental protection, energy saving", the new energy bus safety issue has become a focus in the field of new energy vehicles. Through remote data monitoring system and vehicle fault diagnosis has become an effective means to solve the problem, and vehicle remote data monitoring terminal is a key component of a vehicle remote monitoring capabilities. Therefore, vehicle remote data monitoring terminal has important significance.The research choose Philip LPC2478 chip and Siemens MC55 GPRS chip as the core of the hardware, through the CAN bus and GPRS network in new energy bus completing some important parameters and data collection and transmission. The main content is as followed: Firstly, starting from the background and significance of research, introduce the development of new energy vehicles and summarizes the research main content. Secondly, makes an overall design of vehicle terminal in both hardware and software, and introduces the principle of CAN bus technology and GPRS network communication technology in real-time remote monitoring system. Again, completes hardware design and software design of the vehicle terminal, including the schematic diagram design, PCB design, hardware debugging and procedural programming and debugging. In the end, makes a summary and expectation to the full text.For the actual demand of bus safety monitoring system, the paper has designed the remote monitoring vehicle terminal, which has realized the real-time monitoring of bus status information and has effectively improved the performance of the bus safety. This vehicle terminal get the vehicle running information through the CAN bus, and manage the terminal server via GPRS for storage and management. The monitoring center query bus battery condition and other parameters of the parts including GPS data in real time, thus to monitor and control some important parameters and data of the new energy bus from long distance in real-time.This research comes from Liaocheng university and Zhongtong bus holding co., LTD. jointly undertaking 2013 national new energy automobile industry technological innovation project corpus "plug-in hybrid and all-electric commercial vehicle technology development project". For the purpose of enhancing the intelligence and safety of new energy bus, it will design a real-time remote data monitoring terminal that is suitable for the new energy bus, which is expected to promote the application of remote monitoring system in the field of new energy automotive.
